Vaclav
Vorlicek, one of the most popular czech film directors,
died at the age of 88 on the 5th of February. Several generations
have been raised with his now-legendary films, crazy comedies,
fairy-tales and TV series, most of which were made at Barrandov
Studio: THREE WISHES FOR CINDERELLA, THE PRINCE AND THE EVENING
STAR, THE GIRL ON THE BROOMSTICK, ARABELA, WHO WANTS TO KILL
JESSIE?, HOW ABOUT A PLATE OF SPINACH? and many others. In 2017,
Mr. Vorlicek was awarded for his contribution to to the Czech film
industry.
“I have had no
ambition but to entertain people“ said Vaclav Vorlicek.
And that is what he exceled at.
