Vaclav Vorlicek, one of the most popular czech film directors, died at the age of 88 on the 5th of February. Several generations have been raised with his now-legendary films, crazy comedies, fairy-tales and TV series, most of which were made at Barrandov Studio: THREE WISHES FOR CINDERELLA, THE PRINCE AND THE EVENING STAR, THE GIRL ON THE BROOMSTICK, ARABELA, WHO WANTS TO KILL JESSIE?, HOW ABOUT A PLATE OF SPINACH? and many others. In 2017, Mr. Vorlicek was awarded for his contribution to to the Czech film industry.
