Discover permanent set on Barrandov Studio‘s exterior backlot

Detail

Barrandov Studio has expanded its range of services for film productions with a Medieval Town set located on backlot immediately adjacent to the sound stages, workshops and offices.

The exceptionally large set measures 330 by 490 feet in area, with many of the buildings reaching 33 feet in height. Some buildings also have interior spaces that can be used for filming.

The set was created as a faithful replica of 14th-century Paris for the historical series KNIGHTFALL, that was filmed for the History Channel on studio's exterior backlot spanning 40 acres and on Barrandov sound stages in 2016–2018. The new set was partially used also for filming the series CARNIVAL ROW, starring Orlando Bloom.
